I'm wondering if anyone else here does any movie costume and prop collecting/ building?.. (other than BB)

I know that "Josephblues" has a nice Gene Simmons costume.
But I believe he is the only one I've seen, who has posted pics of a costume, non Blues related.

I do a ton of costume and prop building, with the Monaco project being my biggest... and most expensive, movie prop to date.

I have about 8-10 movie quality costumes that I've built over the years, but only have pics of my Tusken Raider on the PC right now.

Here it is:

If anyone else does Prop or costume building /collecting,
please post some pics.

The "Green Room" photo reminds me that there are two other members here, in that photo.

The girl, standing right in front of me, is known here as "TKvanB", although she has not posted in quite a while.

And, the guy on the far lower left, is also a member here.
He hasn't posted in a long time either and I forgot what name he registered as.
(I believe it may be "TK895")

* There is a BB's connection to both of them, on the web:

YouTube - Lance's Bluesmobile!!

This video was shot by "TK895" and the laughter is provided by "TKvanB".

Something else I noticed.
(Just in case you haven't gotten enough Star Wars references in this thread)

The ad, at the top of this page, has a photo that I believe was taken at the "Michigan Comic Convention" and although that is not me in the photo, it implies that the Stormtrooper costumes can be bought retail.

They can not.
We make all that stuff ourselves.
If you click that link, you'll notice a big difference between the retail, rubber Halloween costumes.. and the real stuff.

I'm sure that photo was snagged without permission.

(My late night ramblings are now over :BB:

Thanks for the nod of the Gene Simmons costume,tk. I've been doing the costume thing for about 12 years. Most of the pictures I have are not with a dig. camera and I am working on scanning them, to include them at my photobucket sight. I can see that they are not of the quality of your work, but I do want to include them in this thread at a later date. They include me as: Fidel Catro, Abe Lincoln, Blackbeard, Beetlejuice, And one of my favorite The 'running Forrest Gump!'

I LOVE props, I spend way too much time looking on eBay and Prop Store of London

I love making replicas, but being good with computers rather than building things most of my props end up being print replicas.

For example:
Futurama

This was a fridge magnet I made for my desk at work, my blue bottle of water was next to it. Yes, super geeky and obscure!
For those that don't remember the reference:

I also have a replica can of Slurm that I purchased online

Stargate SG-1

This is a collection of printed props from Stargate SG-1, the originals are all high resolution (300dpi) and entirely hand recreated from DVD screenshots, like this one:

Ghostbusters 2
The only thing I have is an ECTO-1A license plate I purchased on eBay from Travis Bell:

I also bought a BDR529 plate with the registration sticker included.

Back to the Future
I REALLY want to get an "OUTTATIME" license plate one day. And maybe also one of those barcode plates from the 2nd movie. And that replica Flux Capacitor is pretty nifty too, but expensive (as most Master Replicas products are).

For now I have downloaded some print replicas and given them to some friends at work, including the Greys Sports Almanac cover, Doc Brown's business card, the photo of Doc and Marty in Hill Valley with the clock in 1885, the Save the Clock Tower flyer and the Western Union letter left for Marty by Doc in 1885.

Ahhh man... how did I miss that last post (?)
Sorry BBC.

Those are all excellent.
"Paper props" (graphics) are often hard to come by.
In many cases they take quite a bit of work/ time, and those that create them are understandably hesitant to freely pass them on to everyone/ anyone.

Thanks for sharing these.

Also.. If you want, I have collected a parts list to create your own Flux Capacitor.
All of the actual pieces used are real world items, still available today.

* I also have a parts list to create the time machine.
(Once you get past the first item on the list, the rest is relatively a cake walk) :)

I´m not very good doing things, but I finished my "Robot Bastard!" head. It´s based on a short of the same title by Rob Schrab.

Here´s the head: http://www.capitanpepinillo.com/yo-robotbastard-final-1.jpg
