Okay as much as I love Borders to the life of me and I know it's more of a book place..I was disappointed to see that they hardly had any blues. I mean, I saw a few like Louis Armstrong, Arethra Franklin (but it was her latest holiday CD), and a few others but that was about it. There was a Taj Mahal label but nothing of him. EVen so they were practically scattered around the main section that they had blues in.

I saw that they had alot of Clapton though and nothing of B.B. King (I'm looking for his CD Blues on Bayou), The Blues Brothers (I'm looking for Made in America and Live at Montreux Casino) but even so, I was disappointed. Dangit we need more blues there...

There's a Borders store here in my city (Adelaide, Australia), haven't bought anything from there in years because their range is very weak, and their prices are outrageous.

I had a favorite music store which stocked all kinds of rare blues gems, but he's closing down this week after many years. It's a shame, it was the kind of place where he remembers what music you like and hands you a whole bunch of CD's to listen to, and most of the time it was something I had to buy right away :P

Amazon.com will now be my primary place to buy CD's.

Border's usually has a sticker price of $18.99 USD for new cd's.

Horrible!
One scary soul band as mean and righteous as a fist.

I made some real power scores on fleabay in the past. I got a huge B.B. King compilation and a big Muddy Waters find a few days later...
Believe it or not Pawn Shops are another good resource. I found a mint Alligator Records 20th. Anniversary Collection 2 CD set for...$2.00 !

Cropper_Classic: Agreed! I saw that on like...most of the blues CDs there like on Louie Armstrong and others and the same with Clapton and Blues Traveler (considering those were the spots where I was looking for B.B.King and The Blues Brothers).

I'll try to find any pawn shops around here..Hell, I don't even know if we have one. Nonetheless, I usually get my CDs at Best Buy or Amazon. I'm just hoping they have what I'm searching for, I know Amazon has The Blues Brothers CDs I need it's just a matter of ordering them and hoping they're not scratched or anything if they are used..
