Hey, all...
I'd like to suggest that we compile a harmonica FAQ, and put it here as a sticky perhaps; a lot of folks who post in this board seem to ask a lot of the same questions...
I'm thinking we can start with these topics:
- What's the best brand of harmonica to use?
- What key harmonica should I buy?
- How to I bend notes?
- What's the best microphone to use?
- How can I learn to play?
What'ch'all think?
Harmonica FAQ?

Try Youtube for video lessons. The ones by Adam Gussow (Kudzurunner is his User name on YT) and Jon Gindick (JamCamp06) are good, the latter ones especially for beginners.
Dauber:
Great idea, I'll help out if you want

Okay, first, very rough, draft is at:
www.banana-and-louie.org/harp-faq.html
I'm open to additions, subtractions, mutations, etc. It's very rough; I have to do some editing, but right now it's just the concept....

That's a pretty good first draft, but there are a couple of things I'd like to change. I can also think of a few additions too - especially around amps and microphones. I could cut n paste what you've done so far and add a few bits and bobs. Can you pm me an email address so I can mail it to you as a word doc?

bending notes is hard to teach cuz as far as i know everyone learns differently
what i do is (sucking in) i make the inside of my mouth as big as possible (open jaws, tongue out of the way etc.). at least thats the way it works for me
i would say to buy either a G, an F, or a C first.

Hey Dauber - sorry I've been bogged down at work and home. It's on my list, but I will get round to it!
