Just a reminder ... the Blues Brothers did three songs on the November 18, 1978 episode of SNL -- 30 years ago this Tuesday night.

At 11:30 PM (Eastern Standard Time in the U.S.) the show started with the band doing "Can't Turn You Loose," with Garrett Morris introducing Jake and Elwood. This was followed by the famous performance of "Soul Man." Later in the show, introduced by host Carrie Fisher, they did two songs in a row, "(I Got Everything I Need) Almost" and "B Movie Box Car Blues." I happen to think that these were their best performances of these songs.

"Soul Man" can be seen here, though without the intro: http://www.jibjab.com/view/97086
"Best of the Blues Brothers" has the song, without the intro, and the "Best of John Belushi" DVD has it with the intro.

I haven't found "B Movie" online. It is on the "Best of the BB," and the "Best of John Belushi" VHS, not DVD.

"Almost" can be seen here: http://www.jibjab.com/view/174357
"Best of the BB" has some, not all, of the song.

Everybody, watch whatever you can from that historic night (for BB fans) this Tuesday night!

Dan
