Anyone know what Guitar Murphy's yellow shirt says front and back? I think it's a Budweiser shirt. I'd really love to figure this one out. I realize it's random!

Tom's was a commercial balls out rock club but occasionally I hired someone I liked to listen to. This was usually a mistake financially. Matt was a real gentleman and being a serious golfer I set him up with a game with a security guard who was a pro. Later that year when the movie was being filmed he showed up on the set with a club shirt - wardrobe thought it was good so they sent down for a box full of them. I ran into him years later at a club in Atlanta and talked about Sam Lay who used to play drums with Paul Butterfield circa '63 or so with Mike Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop....

I think it was probably their one trip south...
This was the days of hair bands and they had a bass player that was 6'9," a bald drummer, a short chubby frontman, a fuzzy yankee keyboard player and a muscular black guitarist.
Jewish guys from Boston were a little odd on that circuit.
They absolutely played their asses off and my crowd for the most part didn't appreciate them.

Thanks for the historical perspective, it is appreciated by some of us that can't get enough of the music.

I also was wondering if any T-Shirts were still around. I was lucky enough to find someone, "Terry Reeves" who lives in atlanta GA who still had the shirt that you and I were looking at. Terry was nice enough to forward me a picture of the front and back of the shirt. It is faded but with the design of the shirt on Matt Murphy, I will do my best to duplcate the same using photoshop and then have a company place the design on a new shirt. It will take me some time but will keep you updated when the design / shirt is completed.

I mentioned in post #2 that you could buy that signed pic of Matt, but I believe that to be erroneous. I think all the pics from that link are signed and scanned and I do believe they belong to a member here!

I now have a copy of the Budweiser photo that was used on the back of the shirt.
The front artwork doesn't look like it would be too hard to duplicate.
I'm thinking about starting on this project.... but only if bwilso1 is no longer on it.
What's the word?
