Contentment and pride in owning a piece of tangible history..!
There are some people that 'just don't get it', but hey, the thumbs up and whistles
from those that do adds to the glow of ownership. :D

I'd expect the pedestrians at the mall to be a little more concerned.

To me there's nothing more satisfying than turning the key at the end of a long day, and taking the LONG way home, blues blaring! Never fails to cheer me up, and pretty much at least once a day when I think about what I'm driving, I'll briefly chuckle uncontrollably... Bluesmobiles Is Good!

When the big boy comes out of the garage just to get some sunlight people in the cars passing bye start honking their horns.... When I drive its like so cool....Went through a automatic car wash in Nashua and all the attendants were looking at the car in the window of the tunnel....... Just love it...

Having ridden in and spoken on a mic in a Bluesmobile, I have to say it is the most awesomest feeling I've ever had. True I was in the full gear too at the time and yet it felt so damn right!

Speaking as someone who has wanted a Bluesmobile since the first time I saw the movie (approximately 25 years ago),but doesn't have one yet,I can say this:

Even now, whenever I watch the movie,I get what only can be described as a giddy "charge" as soon as I hear and see the Bluesmobile for the first time (slight exhaust leak and all). I especially love hearing her at full-throttle,and the brief instant when I hear the 4bbl carburetor wide open when Elwood pulls out of the tunnel at the end ("Hit it").There are times during that chase that I get positively euphoric, even now.

I have imagined myself driving that car in every circumstance, and kept saying "Someday"....

"Someday" is now.

Second job,third job,whatever it takes.

I'm getting one.

Mark my words.
I got everything I need....almost...

*sigh* Well, all you out there that DO have a bluesmobile....We envy you! You gotta go on a road trip sometime and drive through all our towns.
And I gotta save my pennys.
