Hey Harpplayers!!!
I´m very interested what kind of Amp you use......:?

...some time ago I heard that Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) used a Fender Hot Rod DeVille...

I use a reissue '59 Bassman with some tube substitutions to tame the feedback - Are you sure about Aykroyd? from a distance a tweed 410 Deville looks almost identical to a 59 Bassman.

No, I´m not sure....
Somebody told me some time ago.
Maybe you are right with the tweed 410 Deville or the 59 Bassman

Personally I don't amplify -- because 1) I don't have a bullet mic yet, and 2) I can't afford to get a decent amp. :/

Hi Chris! I think most people who post in this forum are beginners looking for a bit of help and advice.

I know there are some brilliant harp players who post on elsewhere on BBC, but they don't post much :-(

Seriously, I would LOVE to play amplified, but I can't afford a good microphone...OR a good amp, for that matter. I always wonder how part-time musicians make enough money to buy their equipment...

Sometimes you can find a good selection of harp mics on ebay.

I have a Superlux D112 too. It´s one of the cheapest mics, but sounds not bad!! The only disadvantage of this microphon, it is a little bit to big. I think it´s not easy to hold. I like the Shure Green Bullet better. It´s smaller and much better to hold.

I totally agree about the Green bullet being smaller, But with my massive hands, the one time I played one, I feared for it's life
