It's like a kamikaze pilot who's flown over a hundred successful missions...
Crash, burn, repeat.
I'll be using Safari until the 'improved' bugs are gone.

If so;me too.

And I must say that my preferred "browser of the moment" is Opera.
Slim and fast as I like it...

I prefer Firefox,as long as it's working like it should.

I'm trying Opera, per Mercer's suggestion, but I'm all thumbs with it.
It is classy with all it's fancy skins and such. "Woohoowee Unca Jed!"
The black browser is cool and sophisticated, however,
I think I'm gonna need a 9 year old to set it up for me...

The new version is running much more stable for me, memory usage is a lot less than before. The new address bar is fantastic, if I wanted to load Google Images in the old one I'd have to type:
images.google
In this one I just type in:
google images
And it comes up! If I want to find this thread tomorrow I can type in:
blues firefox
For me the best thing is all the plugins, I can't get by without:
Web Developer
Colorzilla
HTML Validator
Firebug
They're essential when you're trying to design/build/debug a website. Also great when websites break and you want to fix the code or bypass/disable some silly annoying feature.
And then you load your site in Internet Explorer, and your perfect looking design is out by 1 pixel!

I've tried tweaking, eliminating, changing options, clearing caches and re-tuning preferences - all with very little improvement.
I do like Mozilla but I just want it to work as good as the previous version did for me...

What plugins are you using? Are you only using the default skin/theme?

Those plugins are basically the same as what I have (although I usually have Java disabled unless I need it).
Try checking the "Extensions" tab and see which ones are enabled.
Also, make sure you've got the most recent version, should be 3.0.1. I had some stability problems with 3.0.0 which fixed themselves with 3.0.1
I just did a test, I closed all my Firefox windows and made sure Firefox.exe wasn't running in the Task Manager anymore. I clicked the Firefox icon and counted "1...2...3...4". It took 4 seconds for it to load up ready to use.
When I restart my computer, it usually takes anywhere up to 20 seconds to load the first time, but it's super fast after that. Internet Explorer is usually just as slow, probably because it's doing update checks and being scanned by Spybot.

This is what I did last time, one of my extensions was slowing my system down, so I turned them all off and switched them back on one at a time to see which one it was.
And did you manage to find the version number in Help->About Mozilla Firefox?

I'm using Adblock (same version) and it still works fast for me. I'd guess it's one of your other plugins, but I don't use any of the other ones you have so I can't be sure.
Good to know about the MySpace thing

It's probably perfectly OK for Vista, but us mere mortals who are using XP it's a right pain! Back to Firefox for me again!
