Got to see a great blues harp show tonight, with Mark Hummel, Jerry Portnoy, Rick Estrin and Belushi-inspiring Curtis Salgado. Though a fairly short concert considering the talent it couldn't have been more fun! I was most looking forward to seeing Curtis, but I expected Portnoy would steal the show... all were good, but really I think it was Curtis who shined brightest, mostly because of his vocals... wow. Knew he was a great harp player but had never seen him before and didn't realize what a singer he is. See him if you can!

Also of bonus, Stien529 and I finally hooked up for a bit at this show! (We each brought a "Jim" with us, I'm not sure if that's significant but it seems like it must be.) Jake, I hope we can hook up for a beer sometime and get our Bluesmobiles together.

My biggest disappointment is I forgot my damned camera... sigh! My friend Jim took some pics with his iPhone (oooo, big man! ) so hopefully they'll come out okay.

Yo, Stien (and other New Englanders)... tomorrow I believe tickets go on sale for Buddy Guy and George Thorogood, playing at the HarborLights pavilion (or whatever the heck it's called these days!) on mid-August... Buster and I paln to be there!

What a great time that was Bis.... It was a pleasure to meet you and your "JIM". Curtis was telling stories about John and how everything started.. Almost an hour of him talking......The stuff that Aykroyd tells ISN'T what really happened........ Belushi was like a SPONGE taking in everything.......AMAZING.....
