We, at one time or another, have greeted newcomers by saying, "Have a cup of coffee and just wander around BB Central to check it out."
I had kicked around the idea of asking input about how, if we had our own physical BB Central Clubhouse, we would decorate it or it's floor plan etc.
Then I thought...what about a virtual BB Central? We would all have input to visually appreciate our enviorment and have avatars representing us. I personally love the House of Blues layout and decorating scheme but others here might be minimalists. It would be a cool healthy challenge to see if we really do get along as brothers and sisters..!
We'd have a great place to hang after work for a beer or coffee...that we could see!

In theory, it's a great idea.
In practice, only those with nice new computers will get in.
The rest of us poor slobs will sit out there, like Elwood looking in the dining room of Chez Paul, wondering what it might be like inside.
I can barely run chats on my computer without the place buring down. But for those of you who can do it... let the poor slobs out here know what it's like!

Are you kidding? My computer is a pull start but I clean it every couple of hours so it runs well and can handle intensive graphics programs...
But you make a good point...

That's a great idea Blue!
I think it could be like the orphanotrophy (also with the Penguin's office:P)
Maybe you can enter too with a slow connection, you might have to wait some minutes for buffering, but it should work (i got a friend of mine with slow connections that plays at a role game in internet, it shoul be similar to a virtual room).

I think it would be fun to try, but I'm quite happy with this two-dimensional experience.

Just think how cool it would be for you to edit or delete somebody's post in 3D!
You could swing an ax through a door like Jack Nicholson in "The Shining"...
"Heeeeeeere's Scottie!".
