It might be cheaper to ship the car there!!!!
It would be cool though to drive up with Huey and his #43 as well.
At least there would be three of us from BB2K...

Or even open mike Karaoke... for those of us not in bands to be absolutely silly and play along?
I would also love to see other events/activities going on. Any ideas? A look-alike or Costume contest? Best dancing? Funniest adaptation/BB variation? An Illinois Nazi dunking booth? (Get someone in costume, then sell tickets to Dunk a Nazi - $2 - for charity....) These kinds of things could be really funny, and if you can get people into it for more than just the Bluesmobiles, you may get a bigger crowd.
Another thing... the date would be crucial. My advice - choose the date, and do it quickly, and just run with it. Don't get wound up in back and forth "I can't make it that weekend" discussions. That will make it screech to a hault.

Or both a band and karaoke? Band would probably not want to play the entire day; give them boys a break.

I'm not crazy about the idea of a look-alike contest, because you either look sort of like Jake/Elwood or you don't. An ordinary costume contest is a little better because people have more control over that sort of thing. Dance contest could be another good one.
By funniest adaptation, do you mean that people would do a skit?
I like the Nazi dunking booth idea, but is there any risk of causing trouble with an actual Nazi party?
A concession stand of some sort would be a good idea too. Make sure there is Coke (especially if this service will be provided by a concession-type company). Fried chicken and dry white toast should be available, though not the only items on the menu.

If that can be done, it would be a real riot! As long as no one threw tomatoes (or even toast) at me, I would even do Karaoke! LOL!

I look too much like Jake for my tastes...

I think this could be great! Five minute sketch - either from the movie, or something you put together!
Who's writing all this down, people..
(Oh, yeah, I am...)

You could also dunk the Rollers and the Cowboys. Dunk the SWAT team. Dunk your Parole Officer. Dunk your Crazy Ex-Girlfriend... so many options, here.
Anyway, who cares if you get the Nazi party upset...
One of my favorite scenes from the Movie - RAT RACE.
Jason: I can't believe it, Dad. You stole Adolf Hitler's Mercedes-Benz!!
Randy: Well, Hitler had it comin'. What goes around comes around.
Kim: Dad, they're gonna be pissed.
Randy: Eh, they're always pissed, Honey. They're Nazis. It's like it's their job.

hey Billwood,
We could have the tribute band that Judy Belushi Pisano and Dan Aykroyd endorse for this show, I know them personally, and I know Judy Belushi personally, and could ask them what they would charge. They just did a show in Miami Beach with my Bluesmobile last weekend and I am sure they would do the show if it fits in their time frame and budget. They have 9 p band and we would have to take accomodations for the band and them into consideration etc.
I can work with them on a price. Also I would be willing to bring my BB2K #43 from the movie and one of my 74 Monaco's and help out any other way I could. Just remember these guys do this for a living and are not going to do it for free. I will help any way I can to get this off the ground. It's just that there needs to be a budget, contributors $$$ and someone to control that budget and get things done. Let me know what you need. If this could benefit a charity that is dear to Mrs. Belushi's heart this would have a better chance of sucess. I am open for ideas to present to her.
Your friend in Blues,
Huey
