In my living room, summer 2007. I had seen parts of it before then, but that was the first time seeing it all the way through.

Rented it from a video rental place in Boston around 1998. I can't believe I didn't even know it existed until then!

Denton, Texas. Summer of '80. 3-screen theater on University Ave. 3-screeners were considered huge back then.

I can't remember, I've seen it so many times...;) I think it was in my mom's room. I was watching the scene where they destroy the mall and my mom called me and said, "Elizabeth what are you watching?" and I go "The Blues Brothers." and she's like "Oh no wonder I heard that song." I LOVE that theme song! ;)

On TV, can't remember exactly when, most likely around 1982-1983, when it aired for the first time in France. Was with my Pa and we had fun !

Also one of the first introductions to American music.

I remember the crush on Elwood I began to have (I was 12 or 13 !) and the wrecking of the shopping mall, with 'I Can't Turn You Loose' playing in the background... OMG ! The cop car skidding on its roof... priceless...

Since then on I had been hooked and discovered many other countless details and meanings behind the mere car chases and music.

I've also seen it so many times that I cann't remember when the ffirst time was but I do know that I grew up with it. I just cann't remember my live without it becouse I was born in 1990 but I do know it was on VHS with my dad becouse that was the only time I saw the movie, when my dad watched it.I cann also remember that I never knew what the title of the movie was but I did knew all the songs and the whole movie.
When I was 7 or so I saw the CD in a store and I took my money and bought it. :P

In my bedroom...can't quite remember the exact date. I had just gotten off work and ran right over to Tower Records and bought the DVD. I would say it was money well spent.

I missed it at the theater in 1980, I just wasn't quick enough I guess. Because I was growing up rural we did not have cablevision so I had yet to even see SNL at that point in my life.

I know the week it came out on VHS I rented it and watched it at home. I'm not sure of the exact release date for the VHS though. Anyone know?

I've seen it well over 100 times since! Greatest movie of all time.

Although I saw it in the theaters, I was actually pretty young and didn't get all the jokes and references, of course. It was only later - when it started to be played on tv over and over - that I really started to get it. Problem is, those tv airings were so heavily edited!

It was almost a shock to see it in DVD form. So much better.

The Patio theater, Irving Park Road Just west of Austin Ave. probably not right when it came out judging by the fact the Patio didnt get movie's right away upon release.

The theater still sits, but if it does close it would be a shame, it's probably the last full size theater I know of here. Lot of great times in there as a kid.
