Letters from Elwood: The Right to Remain Silent

"The Liberty of Lies," "False Witness" and this third installment, "The Right to Remain Silent" are part of a continuing series of stories focused on Elwood during the time that Jake is in Joliet.

Part I - Elwood was the quiet one, but at least he could write a letter or two. (In fact, in this story, Elwood gets a pen pal, and things get a little strange).

Part II - Elwood takes to the road to see the USA. Can be read as a stand alone, without reading Part I.

Part III - Elwood's back in Chicago. What about that pen pal? (This part has to be read as part of the series. Sorry. But that's sometimes how it works.)

Sorry! I know how cliff hangers stink big time... I actually considered taking the whole thing down, so as not to leave people hanging, but then I wondered if anyone was actually reading it at all, anyway.

On the positive side, the plot is all in my head, so it's not that I don't know where it is going. I just can't - for the life of me - find a few weeks of free time to write it all down and post it...
