I didn't find a thread for the specific song, and I don't think it deserves it's own thread... so maybe this can be used for various requests?
***
In the song "Think", performed by Aretha Franklin, there is one line that I can't figure out.
You need me, and I need you
Without each other, ain't nothin' _________ can do
I have seen it many many different ways.
Ain't nothing people can do
Ain't nothing neither can do
Ain't nothing you and I can do (seen it, but never heard that)
Am I missing somethign? Is there a definitive answer to this? Or did she record it many different ways?
What are the lyrics to... ??

From the score I just bought this afternoon (need to work more in depth her songs), it reads 'either can do'. But my trained hearing can hear 'people can do', so I guess both are acceptable.
Thing is, Aretha Franklin, pretty much like James Brown, recorded stuff as if they were unique pieces - which can explain the variations in recordings. It's documented as it took several takes to make the Soul Food Cafe scene with the song 'Think'. If you take a close look (and ears), the lip-synch is not perfect in the movie because of that, she was unable to lip-synch the song and have it placated on the scene after. Each time she sung was unique.

No, it doesn't matter really - the lady's got blues and soul in her veins, that's all that matters. Sure I know why... eheheh... *winking back*

On the BB soundtrack, it's definitely "people".
