I am giving serious thought to selling my 1974 Dodge Bluesmobile. It started life as a Washington State Police car. It was a white unmarked shift comanders car. It has a blue interior. It is a original 440 equipt cop car and not a civilian clone. It was at several shows in Chicago and Eureka Springs a few years ago. It is a very solid car. It will need repainted as it has sat outside for about three years. The reason it sat is the engine quit on the way to a show one night. It is either the timing chain gears gone bad (doubt it as it is supposed to be a double roller) or the tab on the bottom of the distributer drive broke off. Worst case is the cam gear is striped. Not much fun when you can't just jump in and drive:(. Motor still turned over and would try to hit on an occasional cylinder. It has a few flaws: wrong pushbar, no phone number on quarters, no POLICE and unit number on trunk lid and has all of the DODGE letters front and back. It does have the correct stem mounted rearview mirror but still has the window mount for the glass mounted one. It could become a very good replica for someone. If I get a really serious offer, he gets a new home. Located in Southern Ohio.

Be patient as it might take a while to respond.
Thanks,
Brother Blues

Hey, Brother Blues!
Soooo ... what's happening with your car? An actual 440 1974 Monaco? Wow.
That's actually very nice of you to give the members here a shot at it first. There was a 440 CHP on eBay a couple of months ago that may have been subject to shill bidding. I understand there was controversy around the sale of that car.
Any chance we could see a pic of your Monaco?:D
For some reason, there's members here (possibly myself included) who just love seeing pictures of these Monaco's. Here's a pic I posted not too long ago of a Monaco as it exists to this day. Located in Canada and not for sale ...

That's a beautiful car!

Gidday dugal!
I wish!
The guy who sent me that pic lives outside of Edmonton. He said he's met the owner, I got the impression it's somewhere west of Manitoba. It's not for sale. Ex-RCMP car, eh! 440!
