From eBay ...

A 1988 Gran Fury cop car with a 318 4bbl.

And a 1969 Dodge Coronet "clone." So not a real cop car but pretty nice.

I love the Gran Fury license plate ! Great !

As for the 2nd car, it's said to be a LAPD replica or so - but is it by chance that the car bears the mention "to protect and to serve" ? Like a certain cop car we all know around here ? Unless I missed something...

Nope, I just love cop cars. LOL! At any given time there's 100 or more cop cars for sale on eBay. Those movie clones pop up fairly often it would seem.

Here's another Crown Vic that would make a great BB2K clone (including the 351 engine!):

Great find Bismo !

Elwood would love this car : speedo can go up to 140 !
Jake would love that feature : "Missing cigarret lighter."

I agree that would make a great tribute car, it is in mint condition. I love the following : "I have a briefcase full of old misc Cassete tapes, will include in sale if winning bidder wants it." What kind of music do you usually have here ? LOL

There's plenty of police package B&W cars that would make fine, IMHO, tribute cars. Fun cars.

Dang it ! USD 1,327 ?

*computing frantically the price in EUR... less than EUR 1,000... shock !!! you have an ol' lemon for that price here... makes you wonder...*

You're right Steam, that's cheap for a police package in this mint condition.

LOL, you nailed it... I actually called several of my cars the "Bismobile" in between our old Monaco and the new Vic! (Two examples were a mid-90s supercharged Pontiac Bonneville - that didn't last too long - and a Saab 900 turbo.)

This one also looks almost exactly like my Bluesmobile looked before I converted her, though mine has the 302 engine (sshhhh), so certainly no doubt it's a prime candidate. Hopefully she went to a good home!

I'd like to have it to sit on the side of the road for advertising maybe...

I think that's what it was used for... just sitting there on this parking lot ! Shame... it must have been a great car. The last photo, of the front grid, looks nice. It saddens and hurts me to see such cars in such a condition. There are so much work to do on this one that they should let it go for free. Hope someone will see the beauty behind the rags and take it home and restore it to "its past glory".

I don't get the taxi setup in this car. Can't imagine that a Newport was used as a hack car. But the partiation is there. looks like a good fit. Someone must have got the car cheap and made it into a BB car. A sad end to a very nice car.
