Now up on his official website (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com), he gives his own opinion on why everything happened. Hard as it may be for some to accept, he believes Woodward does have a bit of a point.

Things don't stay on the home page forever, and even while it's on the home page it's a pain in the backside to find it way down towards the bottom. People appreciate it when you post a DIRECT link to what you want to show them, like this:

1984?? That is some SERIOUS archive work there. Kudos to whoever got to type all that up again.

ETA: Read it. It's very well written, fairly objective, and I like it.
