Would you pay $40 Grand to book the Blues Brothers Band? That's what an agent quoted me to hire them for a festival...
I personally have worked with groups from this era and with way more hits than these guys ever had for way less dough than that!
I wonder what percent mark up the agent is throwing on top or is it that the Band just thinks that if they pay we will play....
Interesting to say the least.

What you have to remember is that not all of the band are from the 1970's or 1980's. You have to take into account Steve Cropper, who would have to be paid well to spend time away from his recording studio. Also Eddie Floyd is a big name, plus John Tropea. They are all huge artists in their own right.
The Blues Brothers Band is like a smaller, cheaper version of the Louisiana Gator Boys!

Then again, you could be right...

We asked for the core rhythm section and minimum horns to perform. Eddie and the others are bigger names, but not the true originals in the movie. Maybe they only come as the whole group, but still, $40K is a lot. I personally know the group alabama with 41 number one hits get $150,000 per gig just to walk in the door.
Delbert McClinton can be booked for $7500!!!
Anyway, just thought it interesting.
By the way, would like to see a list of membership by dates and names on your site!
I think I was close to the top!!!!
Enjoy it and keep up the good work...
