I now present to you, the Nerima Daikon Brothers.
It's like, the BB but VERY warped, plus a pink-haired MarySue type character who's their cousin...with a southern accent. Meh, that's dubbed anime for you...

Also, from the profiles page:
At the risk of being obvious, the name "Nerima Daikon Brothers" is a riff on the "Blues Brothers," and much of the background music riffs in the show are homages to the Blues Brothers movie. Our Nerima Daikon Brothers can always be seen in Blues Brothers-inspired suits, hats, and sunglasses.

Hehe. Not all anime is goofy like that. I always recommend that if any non-anime fans only ever watch ONE anime, they should see FullMetal Alchemist - supernatural, drama, human interest, a splash of humor. In other words, AWESOME.

It's got a rating of TV-MA (age 17 and up), the equivalent of maybe an R rating for movies (US ratings, anyway). South Park has a TV-MA rating, to put it in perspective.
I should have labeled it, sorry! Ratings are just something I've never needed to pay attention to, personally, and often forget that they may be relevant to others.

This is a video of, I believe, the Japanese voice cast singing/dancing/goofing in costume to the opening theme song (in Japanese, of course)

I think the only things that are "copied" are the outfits, the very basic character desgin of Hideki (pudgy and louder) and Ichiro (thinner and quieter) , and the fact that they're in a band (and play what they call "blues" but is actually J-pop.) The storyline and everything else is immensely different, so I don't think we're looking at a ripoff, but a heavily-themed "nod".
