you ever hear a song and a line just hits you the right way ? the whole song can suck but just one line does it to you ?

post the line that hits you that way , it can be any form of music from rock and roll , r&b, blues, soul, jazz, country, even hip hop or rap.( if you call those music . )

but please not vulgarity , explicit lyerics , sexual suggestive , or religion, race or gender bashing .

i didnt mean to post this whole song , but its been stuck in my head for about 6 months now . and to all who think i have flipped out , i have not , but wish now to apologize to all who i have offended in the past and ask for forgiveness. i have personnel reasons for the change in my life.

I saw the light , Hank Williams Sr. 1948

    I wandered so aimless, life filled with sin;
I wouldn't ask my dear Saviour in.
    Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night;
Praise the Lord, I saw the light!
      Chorus
I saw the light, I saw the light.
No more darkness; no more night.
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight.
Praise the Lord, I saw the light!
Just like a blind man I wandered alone,
Worries and fears I claimed for my own.
    Then like the blind man that Jesus gave back his sight;
Praise the Lord, I saw the light!
      Chorus
I saw the light, I saw the light.
No more darkness; no more night.
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight.
Praise the Lord, I saw the light!
I was a fool to wander astray,
For straight is the gate and narrow is the way.
    Now I have traded the wrong for the right;
Praise the Lord, I saw the light!
      Chorus
I saw the light, I saw the light.
No more darkness; no more night.
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight.
Praise the Lord, I saw the light!

" Just trying to make everyone feel welcome " !

"Oh life is like a maze of doors and they all open from the side you're on
Just keep on pushing hard boy, try as you may
You're going to wind up where you started from "

The Adventure by Angels and Airwaves

  • I wanna have the same last dream again,
the one where I wake up and I'm alive.
Just as the four walls close me within,
my eyes are opened up with pure sunlight.
    I'm the first to know,
    my dearest friends,
even if your hope has burned with time,
anything that's dead shall be re-grown,
and your vicious pain, your warning sign,
    you will be fine.
Hey, oh, here I am,
and here we go, life's waiting to begin

  • Any type of love - it will be shown,
like every single dream reach for the sky.
    If you're gonna fall,
    I'll let you know,
that I will pick you up
    like you for I,
    I felt this thing,
    I can't replace.
Where everyone was working for this goal.
Where all the children left without a trace,
only to come back, as pure as gold,
    To recite this song
Hey, oh, here I am,
and here we go, life's waiting to begin.
Tonight,
hey, oh, here I am,
and here we go, life's waiting to begin.
Tonight,
hey, oh, here I am,
and here we go, life's waiting to begin.

  • I cannot live, I can't breathe
unless you do this with me
    I cannot live, I can't breathe
unless you do this with me
    I cannot live, I can't breathe
unless you do this with me
    I cannot live, I can't breathe
unless you do this with me
    I cannot live, I can't breathe
unless you do this with me
    I cannot live, I can't breathe
unless you do this with me
Hey, oh, here I am (do this with me),
and here we go, life's waiting to begin (do this with me).
Hey, oh, here I am (do this with me).
And here we go, life's waiting to begin,
life's waiting to begin.

I had to post this whole song because it meens a lot to me. Someone I knew died and this is a song that helps everybody remember him.
This is the kid. Matt Kenney. Forever missed by all!

oh no , no problem what so ever , whole songs are cool too ! if you ever read my signatures , you see some of the stuff i have left . most songs stink but one or two lines just make it worth listening to or have special meaning .
" Just trying to make everyone feel welcome " !

"Oh life is like a maze of doors and they all open from the side you're on
Just keep on pushing hard boy, try as you may

it doesnt matter if im in a furious mood or not, cause when i hear this song by this man im always touched.. always

here is Changes with Ozzy Osbourne..

I feel unhappy
I feel so sad
I've lost the best friend
That I ever had
She was my woman
I loved her so
But it's too late now
I've let her go

I'm going through changes
I'm going through changes

We shared the years
We shared each day
In love together
We found a way
But soon the world
Had its evil way
My heart was blinded
Love went astray

I'm going through changes
I'm going through changes

It took so long
To realize
And I can still hear
Her last goodbyes
Now all my days
Are filled with tears
Wish I could go back
And change these years

I'm going through changes
I'm going through changes...

"Tell me I'm a sinner I got news for you
I spoke to God this morning and he don't like you!"

This is from one of my favorite song writers, Karla Bonoff.

This song held me a whispers breath above the earth when I heard it.
It is dedicated to my mom who passed away in 1992...

Goodbye my friend

Oh we never know where life will take us
I know it's just a ride on the wheel
And we never know when death will shake us
And we wonder how it will feel

So goodbye my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the time together through all the years
Will take away these tears
It's okay now
Goodbye my friend

I've seen a lot things that make me crazy
And I guess I held on to you
We could've run away and left well maybe
But it wasn't time and we both knew

So goodbye my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the love you gave me through all the years
Will take away these tears
I'm okay now
Goodbye my friend

Life's so fragile and love's so pure
We can't hold on but we try
We watch how quickly it disappears
And we never know why

But I'm okay now
Goodbye my friend
You can go now
Goodbye my friend

Something always touches me when I listen to Ol' Blue Eyes sing this song:

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong
To be better far than you are
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To be willing to give when there's no more to give
To be willing to die so that honor and justice may live
And I know if I'll only be true to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star

Other songs that just hit that certain spot are:
If I Can Dream - The King, Elvis
Unchained Melody - ONLY by The Righteous Brothers
Shotgun Blues - Jake just knows how to sing that, man
One - as performed by the late Johnny Cash
There's more, but pizza's here, so.. later on, folks!

Procol Harum - A Salty Dog, when i listen to this record i always get touched and, sometimes, i figure me on that ship.

All hands on deck, weve run afloat! I heard the captain cry
explore the ship, replace the cook: let no one leave alive!
Across the straits, around the horn: how far can sailors fly?
A twisted path, our tortured course, and no one left alive

We sailed for parts unknown to man, where ships come home to die
No lofty peak, nor fortress bold, could match our captains eye
Upon the seventh seasick day we made our port of call
A sand so white, and sea so blue, no mortal place at all

We fired the gun, and burnt the mast, and rowed from ship to shore
The captain cried, we sailors wept: our tears were tears of joy
Now many moons and many junes have passed since we made land
A salty dog, this seamans log: your witness my own hand

I've had the pleasure of dating some wonderful women in my life that were fun and cool to hang with. Unfortunately one in particular wanted more...Sadly, she wouldn't understand my feelings, therefore, I gave her this song on a CD...It brought the point home and she eventually thanked me...:BB: Sad though.

-My Heart Won't Lie

by Oleda Adams

People say we look good together
In their eyes you’re my ideal
You've got so many things going for you
But there's one thing that can't be concealed

When we're alone I can't feel the emotion
That'll bring me close to you
I don't know why, but I've got the strongest notion
That it's not that easy to do

Cause my heart won't lie
It's no good to even try
Don't ask me why
But my heart won't lie

When I'm with you, Baby, I'm a chameleon
I'm the master of disguise
Foolin' everyone about my feelings
But I think I've just realized

Somewhere inside is a hidden treasure
And someone who holds the key
But everyone told me that I could do much better
They said he's not the one for me

But my heart won't lie
It's no good to even try
Don't ask me why
But my heart won't lie.

Hear it on here *

This is a song by the italian musician Roberto Vecchioni, it's called Sogna ragazzo, sogna; this is a translation.

And they will say you words
red like the blood, black like the night;
but it isn't true, boy,
that the reason is always with the strongest; i know poets
moving rivers with their mind,
and infinite sailors
who knows how to talk with the sky.
Close your eyes, boy,
and believe only what you have inside;
close your puch, boy,
don't let they win;
cover your love, boy,
but don't hide it behind;
sometimes someone came,
sometimes someone must see it.

Dream, boy dream
when the wind came up
in the heart ways,
when a men lives
for his words
o non vive più;
dream, boy dream,
don't change word
of your song,
don't stop yourself...

Let them say that in the world
people like you will lose every time;
because you've just win, i swear,
and they can't do anything to you anymore;
pass sometimes your hand
on a women's face, pass your fingers;
any kingdom is larger
of this little thing which is the life.

And life is so strong
that she passes through the walls without have been seen
life is so true
that looks impossible have to left her;
life is so big
that when you'll be gonna bie,
you'll plant an ulivo,
convinced yourself to see it bloom.

Dream, boy dream,
when she turns herself,
when she doesn't come back,
when the only footstep
that stopped your heart
you don't hear it anymore;
dream, boy, dream,
days will pass,
love will pass,
night will pass,
pain will finish,
will be forever you...

Dream, boy dream,
little boy
im my memory,
many and many times
in this story:
i can't count you anymore;
dream, boy, dream,
i left a paper
on the desk,
it misses only a verse
to that poerty,
you can end it.

It loses something with the translation.

I don't know about touching lyrics, but lyrics that ended up relevant in a roundabout way? Now that, I have.

I'm writing a short story (may get longer, who knows) and named my character after I got the basic plot down. I named the girl Turtle (she had weird parents), then I remembered the song "Turtle Blues" by Janis Joplin. I looked up the lyrics while I was listening to it, and two choruses kinda illustrated part of the story (basically, Turtle and her guy have lived multiple lifetimes together; he rescued her once and gave her half his power.)

Quote

Oh, Lord, I once had a daddy,
He said he’d give me everything in sight.
Once had a daddy,
Said he’d give me everything in sight.
Yes, he did
So I said, “Honey, I want the sunshine,
you take the stars out of the night.
Come on and give ‘em to me, babe, ‘cause I want ‘em right now.”
and this chorus goes with the ending where she basically p3wns his posessive a$$ so she can be with the guy she chooses. She's all "GTFO I'm my own woman./Don't call us we'll call you."

Quote

Oh! Now call me mean, you can call me evil, yeah, yeah,
I’ve been called much of some things around,
Honey, don’t ya know I have!
Whoa, call me mean or call me evil
I’ve been called much of some things, all things around,
Yeah, but I’m gonna take good care of Janis, yeah,
Honey, ain’t no one gonna dog me down.
Alright, yeah.
Bah, it's so much better if you're reading the story. Take my word for it? *sheepish grin*

Everybody's got a secret, sonny.
Something that they just can't face.
Some folks spend their whole lives trying to keep it,
They carry it with them every step that they take,
'til one day they just cut it loose.
Cut it loose or let it drag them down,
Where noone asks any questions,
Or looks too long in your face,
In the darkness on the edge of town
--- Bruce Springsteen ---

Step out the front door like a ghost into the fog
Where no one notices the contrast of white on white
And in between the moon and you the angels get a better view
Of the crumbling difference between wrong and right
I walk in the air between the rain through myself and back again
Where? I dont know
Maria says shes dying through the door I hear her crying
Why? I dont know

Round here we always stand up straight
Round here something radiates
--- Counting Crows ---

When they call your name
Will you walk right up
With a smile on your face
Or will you cower in fear
In your favorite sweater
With an old love letter

I wish you would
I wish you would
Come pick me up
Take me out
F**k me up
Steal my records
Screw all my friends
They’re all full of s**t
With a smile on your face
And then do it again
I wish you would

When you’re walking downtown
Do you wish I was there
Do you wish it was me
With the windows clear and the mannequins eyes
Do they all look like mine

You know you could
I wish you would
Come pick me up
Take me out
F**k me up
Steal my records
Screw all my friends behind my back
With a smile on your face
And then do it again
I wish you would

I wish you’d make up my bed
So I could make up my mind
Try it for sleeping instead
Maybe you’ll rest sometime
I wish I could
--- Ryan Adams ---

Agadoo doo doo doo
Push pineapple
Shake the tree
--- Black Lace ---

mason profit two hangman

As I rode into Tombstone on my horse whose name was Mac
I saw what I relate to you goin' on behind my back
It seems the folks were up in arms a man now had to die
For believin' things that didn't fit the laws they'd set aside
The man's name was I'm a freak the best that I could see
He was an executioner a hangman just like me
I guess that he'd seen loopholes from workin' with his rope
He'd hung the wrong man many times so now he turned to hope

He'd talk to all the people from his scaffold in the square
He told them of the things he found;
But they didn't seem to care He said the laws were obsolete, a change they should demand
But the people only walked away, he couldn't understand

The Marshall's name was Uncle Sam he said he'd right this wrong
He'd make the hangman shut his mouth if it took him all year long
He finally arrested Freak and then he sent for me
To hang a fellow hangman from a fellow hangman's tree

It didn't take them long to try him in their court of law He was guilty then of thinking a crime much worse than all
They sentenced him to die so his seed of thought can't spread
And infect the little children; that's what the law had said

So the hangin' day came 'round and he walked up to the noose
I pulled the lever but before he fell I cut him loose
They called it all conspiracy and that I had to die
So to close our mouths and kill our minds they hung us side by side

And now there's two hangmen hangin' from a tree
That don't bother me at all
Two hangmen hangin' from a tree
That don't bother me at all
" Just trying to make everyone feel welcome " !

"Oh life is like a maze of doors and they all open from the side you're on
Just keep on pushing hard boy, try as you may
You're going to wind up where you started from "

Mama told me when i was young
Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what i say.
And if you do this
It will help you some sunny day.
Take your time... don't live too fast,
Troubles will come and they will pass.
Go find a woman and you'll find love,
And don't forget son,
There is someone up above.

(chorus)
And be a simple kind of man.
Be something you love and understand.
Be a simple kind of man.
Won't you do this for me son,
If you can?

Forget your lust for the rich man's gold
All that you need is in your soul,
And you can do this if you try.
All that i want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

(chorus)

Boy, don't you worry... you'll find yourself.
Follow you heart and nothing else.
And you can do this if you try.
All i want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

(chorus)

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

i know it was writen for m m and p d , but it fits for john too .
