In the movie The Blues Brothers, Elwood uses I think a shure green bullit, when they are driving in the car to post for the gig he uses an astatic microphone.

In The Blues Brothers 2000, Elwood uses an astatic mic. and Buster uses with Rider's in the sky a shure green bullit.

For playing the blues harp I use a shure green bullit 520 DX. It's a nice mic. easy to hold and it's got a volume nob. It sound great on a Fender Bassman 1959 (reissue).

But try out an Astatic Mic. maybe you like it better than a shure.

Hey EB_bluesharp,
I asked that question a long time ago in an old topic (With the same name as this one if I believe) about which mic Elwood used on SNL and at the Amphitheater. No one answered me on there.... I use a Green Bullet myself, but I like the look of the one you are speaking of. If anyone knows what kind it is, and where to get one, please let us know!

(EB_Bluesharp) I took a peek on Fender's site http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?section=amplifiers&cat=bassamplifiersenclosures&subcat=bassman
which one did you say you had and which one do you suggest to work well with a Shure Green Bullet mic?
Thanx in advance!

Are you sure it was a Green Bullet? I know that in the car he was using an astatic. I have one and it looked alot like the one he used at the Palace Hotel. I could be wrong. I know I'd much rather use an astatic than a green bullet. Personal preferance though...
