I was wondering if there is a differant angle of the Blues Mobile jumping over the police car coming out of the tunnel? Not sure if even exits, but it would be a great shot if it did. The angle would be looking sideways as the blues mobile roars out of the tunnel and the Chicago squad pulls up, we see the black and white go over the white squad and the left tire of the 74 goes over and clips the light on the white car..... Now that would be cool......

Hey Stien529

Found this picture of the Bluesmobile "in the air" from a side view in the Blues Brothers book "Private".

I'm assuming it must have been a publicity shot.

Not exactly the picture you were after but hope its close enough.

The 2nd most amazing car stunt ever filmed. (#1-Bond-Spiral) Also my avatar (thank you BB Central). I always called the cop lights "cherries." They were called Mars lights made by the Mars Signal Light Company in Chicago.

I read somewhere on-line that Dan and John told the driver he would get $1,000 cash from each of them if he broke the Mars lights on the cop-car. Tom Huff was the principal driver of the Bluesmobile but that doesn't mean he also did the jumps. I'm not exactly sure who did that stunt.

It reminds me that I haven't started the model of that exact scene. You've seen it in another thread ...

I printed that model but never started it. Dang. Three pages on photo paper ... I know where I put them. If anybody else does this model, howz about a pic? I haven't even started cutting mine yet!

I made the Bluesmobile a year or so ago and it wasn't easy. I think I had to enlarge the picture and I printed on thicker paper to make it easier to fold. It didn't come out very good anyways because it was hard to keep the glue from getting smudged everywhere. But it's pretty much worthless now that I have the diecast model. :BB:

Well ... may we have a picture of your craptacular outcome?:BB:

Scott also told me the little stuff would be a bit of a nightmare cutting. I printed on sturdy paper. I have found them and hopefully will go in for the initial surgery in the next 24. (cue dramatic music)

My paper Bluesmobile turned out ok, but the front bumper didn't fit nicely.

I haven't printed out the Chicago cop car or the street scene yet. My color printer was running out of a few colors last time I used it.

My brain was saying ... I can make those little cuts. My eyes were saying ... no you can't. lol I guess I need glasses. Pretty bad, right eye closed, magnifying glass in left hand, pocket cutter in right hand hahaa. Lost another finger. I did some test cuts on regular paper, little bit of scoring on the photo paper ...

I think the pic SP2153 put up and the reference photo from the model page, were shot from the same camera.

There has to be some clean pics of that angle, Stien529.

If we knew the name of the guy who took that sequence of photos ... I'd buy a print of that!

You could try this, tk, for the Bluesmobile, anyway. There's a Chicago Cop car as well and I think I have that saved somewhere. I'll take a boo.

Found em'

I was originally re-directed here:

(link does not work)

Once I found the correct page
http://www2.darringer.com:8080/carta/index.html
the re-direct stopped

... Some type of cyber/ cookie hiccup.
