[Joliet Blues]

Elwood and Jake Have two sons named Jake II and Elwood II. THey where top raise money for the Triple Rock or it will be force to close.

The cause is noble, but I don't like the two sons aspect. Doesn't seem plausible to me that they would name their kids after themselves. Questionable whether they would know if they had kids because they don't seem like the type to settle down. Like Curtis, they sow wild oats.

I agree with Scott. If either Jake or Elwood had children (of either gender...I'm open to change ), they might not know about them until a good deal of time later...or possibly never. The children's mothers most likely would have named them something else entirely (especially if they were in a situation where there were several men who could be the father).

I do like the idea about the church. Perhaps the kid(s) and their mother(s) could be parishoners of the church, looking for a way to raise funds. Elwood & co. could be hit up for change one afternoon by kids** with donation jars, Elwood's like "holy crap, the T.R. is closing, we should save it". And, in turn, could find out through the course of the story that OMG, I've/we've reproduced!

**I say kids, even though its entirely possible that they have offspring who are college-age or older.

I'd be happy with the "hit up for change one afternoon by kids with donation jars" story even if the kids didn't end up being related to him. This is a great opportunity to develop one or more likeable kid characters who want to do something good for their community instead of a Buster-type character who only tags along because it's better than the alternative. As a fan-fiction story, the writer would have the freedom to include the Rev. Cleophus James (or not, maybe his death is part of the reason why the church needs saving).

I think instead of sons, it should be fans. Cause John Popper says in BB2000 that he was a fan of Elwood's. So the Blues Brothers have a fan base after their gigs in the 70's and 80's. I like the kids in the church idea. Maybe the kids should be fans or something. I don't know. Just an idea.

If Danny Aykroyd does decide to make a third film, why not introduce "Zee" Blues(James Belushi) into the film, I think that would be a great idea.

Zee Blues is his long lost brother.... he was on an other continent, in a other orfanance.Elwood find some information on internet about Zee Blues, he has to find him, because he is alone. Zee sings in an other band there... he makes Zee happy to ask them to Jam in the house of Blues. Elwood likes him very much and he is just the perfect mach to make the band compleet again, they do one lost shot to make the Blues back in town. after a few gigs with the whole band they find out that the triple Rock idea.

But No James Brown, who would make a good show for that, Solomone Burke??? they visit the last place from Joliet Jake, the Brothers shake their hands and they wil do anything to make the band live again, maybe God has to shine in here, i can see the picture before me...

Elwood, Zee Blues and the Band, read this and do it!

Elwood can also find Zee after escaping from police with the kid of BB2000. He find Zee in a bar and discover that he is his brother. Elwood discover that Zee is a good singer and they decide to "rebuild" the band once again.

I was kind of thinking the same things. But, it wouldn't be a kid of Jake's it would be Elwood's two kids, Jake II and Curtis. They would try to seek out people for there own band like J&E. I haven't got it all planned out yet. But, that's my start.

Why don't make the come back of Carrie Fisher's character?

I can't accuarly see Elwood as the guy who would have kids. i mean if you notice you never really see him hooking up with any ladies. Sure he flirts a little and askes them out but he would more than likely be the type of guy who would just get caught up in somehting elce, mostly Blues related, and forget about them.
Like in BB2000, Elwood even forgot the chick who drove him home from jail. yes she had a wig but still. its a face remembering thing.
