I'm sorry if this subject has been posted before.
I was watching "Best of John Belushi" and there was a Beethoven skit. In the third and the last part of the skit, Belushi wears sunglasses and starts to immitate Ray Charles.
Do you know what song he is singing?
Song in Beethoven skit?

I know one of the songs was "Tie a Yellow Ribbon"- that's what the captions said.

Ha ha, "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" :D
Sorry that I laugh JacobSteinAFM but that's not a Ray Charles song. It's a very crappy country-pop-tune by Tony Orlando & Dawn.
The song John sings is "What'd I Say" one of Ray Charles greatest hits. Very famous for the very sexual backingvocals in the original version. To hear a man and three girls hollow was a little bit to extrem for most of the white listeners back in the late 50's
By the way "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" was one of the songs on Bob's request list in the first movie. You can find that info in the BB Private book.

Yeah Flashcomix. It is "What I'd Say". What was the song in the first Bethoven part in the Best Of DVD? Before the Ray Charles impression.:D

Yes, I know that's not a Ray Charles song, but that was one of songs I remember he was playing in the sketch.

I think "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" might be the name of the ragtime-like song he plays in the first part (instrumental), then "My Girl" in the second part and "What'd I Say" in the last part.
Not to be confused with the Tony Orlando "Tie a..." mentioned above.

I love "What'd I Say". I loved it even more when I found out the whole song was entirely improv the first time he played it. Watch the movie "Ray" and you'll see what I'm talking about.
