Well, last night was a highlight for sure. Justin and I were fortunate enough to hook up with our pals at the Radio Station here in Muscle Shoals Alabama 'Birthplace of the Blues', and jam for a couple hours with the one and only Steve Cropper.
Steve was one of the most down to earth, coolest cats we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He saw us across the lobby and started laughing and called us over. It was funny he was playing a showcase at the local Holiday Inn lounge(movie)! Of course the first thing I told him was, 'We're puttin the band back together'. He looked at me and asked me "You got that money you owe us?" Priceless, huh?
He rocked the house for two hours with Mustang Sally, Midnight Hour, Dock of the Bay, Knock on Wood, Green Onions, and of course the last tune of the night, Soul Man.
He asked us to come on up and we sang the 2nd and third with Steve. The crowd loved it! It was a cool experience.

I met Steve at the Anniversary DVD launch, he was such a cool guy to talk to. He told me the band would love to do another album one day.
I can't wait to see your photos! :D

Thanks for the comment BLUEZZ...
He was really a nice guy and spent a few moments with us uninterrupted. We were so thrilled to get called on stage and it was overall a great event we will remember forever...

Thanks for the comment EJ...I tell ya, any PR is good Pr with a group like us huh? We are literally PR junkies man! haha
We normally always book at a minimum of 1-2 shows just off the press we receive from shows like this...It is always an honor to get that call from a newspaper reporter or news station person everytime!

Yeah, you are most definitely right about that...It is good to know that we can continue this tribute through the ages and always knowing that the Blues Brothers will most likely never ever get old...What a great act...What a great Band...

Doggone it! I wish I had known you were there. It's about a 4 hour drive, but I'd have made it to see you fellows again. Gotta keep up with me so I can know what's where. Ya'll call!

Everyone else: If you get a chance to go see The Alabama Blues Brothers, get to it. Well worth it!!
