He still wasn't that young. He was born in 1929. So even the 60's would still have him relatively old. Granted, 60's would make him younger than he was in the movie :)

A german TV-show at the time of one of the first "American Folk Blues Festival". Back than many of the big stars toured europ named the "American Folk Blues Festival". They did this for year's. All the tours (including Matt's stuff) are released on CD.
But even that I'm from germany I can't tell you anything about the TV-show. They show it sometimes late at night on some stations but the original airing was bofore my birth :(

If it was the early 1960's he would've been in his early thirties. I wouldn't consider that old.
