Hey, Everybody - I recently heard that Matt Murphy had had a stroke. Does anyone know about his condition? And, by the way, my (then) girlfriend gave Matt the "Uncle Tom's Tavern" T-Shirt he's wearing while Aretha's screaming "Think" to him in the movie. Whew, long time ago, far away.......

Yeah and what's up with duck dunn. I mean he also quit performing with the BB-Band.
Maybe he feels to old but I think Cropper and Floyd are much older.

Blue Lou is STILL an active member of the Blues Brothers Band. He also plays with John Tropea's band.
His most recent appearance was with Dan Aykroyd and Rob Paparozzi the other day on Sirius Radio.

Man I hope Matt and Duck Dunn are doing ok. I'd hate for something to happen to them. We've lost too many from that movie already.

I have found out more about Matt he had the stroke in 2001, he can no longer play the guitar. The last known address you can send a card and your well wishes to him to are:

Matt Murphy/Roesch Records
P.O. Box
Darien, CT, 06820

He likes to hear from fans and like well wishes from what the article said. I'm gonna keep the man in my prayers.

I sent Matt Murphy a card about 2 weeks ago and I hope he gets it. I haven't gotten it back in the mail so I assume that it was delivered.
