I'm looking at getting a 2002 Chevy Impala... I found some great ones right in my price range. These are great cars, but all white.

If I do buy one, I would love to make my own version of a bluesmobile. Paint is really the only thing I would want to do. Does anyone have any really cheap way to paint a car... I would love to do it myself even.

well mine was cheap, several spray cans and thats how I did it, dont look real pretty but rough is good right? Looks good enough to me but I wont compare mine next to a professional paint job that maybe got dirty later. Get the spray cans w/ the littleblue nozel those work good, on flat spots lay it on heavy (obviously before it runs) after a while you'll figure it out.

I used gloss whit and black, flat white for letters and the P1 might be a gold but I used the ace brand canary, this is the only canary i found to be right, (Thanks Nick!) i beleive it says "Ace Canary" I gotta redo my star but take a look at what everyone else did.

My car dont sit outside but if yours does the spray cans, evens if its gloss will later turn out to be flat looking but that might not be bad eithere right? just warning ya, good luck!

I have used a black and decker power sprayer from WalMart on the last few Bluesmobiles. Go get some black and white gloss acrylic enamel from the auto parts store, a gallon of each, cheaper than using spray cans and a lot less work.
Practice on some metal off to the side and get your flow right, then tape her off and shoot her!
If you want weathered old look for your impala, use flat black from spray can to put a light film down the top edges all the way around and flat white on the top.
Should be a 10-12 hour job, tape and all!

Well I dcertainly agree w/ ya, thats faster than what I did!, but I never used a sprayer. But If I gotta do it again I will be trying the sprayer thats for sure, because Its gotta be even cheaper than what I did.
Hell the Olds I used a roller! but thats just me!
