IMO, The show has been going downhill since he left. What I think they should do is just fire most of the cast and bring in fresh new faces. They did this in the late 80s and again in the mid 90s, and it worked.

I don't know, I just think that when those people went out and did a sketch together, they had a chemistry that the more recent casts don't seem to have. The family bond that they all shared really showed when they acted together. Like, I love Will Ferrell, I love Chris Kattan, and I adored Chris Farley, rest his soul.
Don't get me wrong, I think that the cast members now are just as funny as anyone (with a few exceptions, which I won't name), I just feel that they don't have that little "I don't know what", as Steve Martin put it.
