I just saw him on "Inside the Actor's Studio" that airs on the Bravo Network and when BB2K was brought up, he was asked to do some dancing. They hit the music (which was Jailhouse Rock from the Soundtrack) he did a dance where he went down on the floor, and hopped back up! It was excellent!! I honestly don't know why he's not doing it anymore, even since he was on SNL not too long ago with Elwood, and they did "The Letter" dressed like postmen. Who knows....

But remeber he looked like he was going to fall asleep and was breathing heavy, Johns got to sort his weight out or we wont see 'Mighty' Mack agian. He was in good shape On 'The Return Of The Blues Brothers' 'The Blues Brothers: On Parole and In concert' and 'Blues Brotthers 2000'

most of you may not agree with me but he was throwing Elwood and Zee off in the HOB clip on the down load section Goodmen is just their doing his own thing while Zee and Elwood are dancing and stuff and Dan is almost as big as John Goodmen now and He couldn't even do any of the dance moves so his health may have had something to do with it he may have had other things to do he was more busy then Dan and Jim at the time but we well never know what the real reason is

And I for one do not think John Goodmen was the right choice for BB200 I mean it just doesn fit his personality they could have looked around a bit more

They could have looked around a bit more OR BETTER YET waited until contractual obligations were cleared and done the original script with Brother Zee Blues in the movie BB2K. I've always had a problem with the Mighty Mack character. He's just not all that 'mighty.'

I also have a problem with the "Cable" character, as well as "Buster" because they will never ever show up again in any concert! I think the whole thing should have been thought through better and waited on Zee to join the film.

As it stands, we have 2.5 Blues Brothers who are floating around out there somewhere who will never be seen again.

According to JG's Wiki page, he "retired" the character.. i guess so he didn't get type cast or stuck in the comedy genre because he is a very good serious part actor, take a look at his role in the film "the Babe" where he played the part of Babe Ruth & you will see see what i mean.
