He had the same glasses when me moderated the first mtv-vidioawards in 1984 with Bette Midler, so I guess it must be around that time. And I think if John was still alive he would performe with him. I also think it must be after John's death because he is performing as himself and not Elwood.

By the way does some one has a clip of Dan at 1984 the mtv-vidioawards. I heard he sang with Bette Midler.

I had a quick look to see when that was recorded, but I didn't have any luck (didn't look too hard though).
The author says it was at a Chicago blues club, and it looks like it might have been recorded from TV.
