Was watching the "19th Hole" feature on "Caddyshack" and Ramis and Chase to all these ill feelings between Bill Murray and Chevy Chase when the were on SNL. What's the story with that?
Murray/Chase argument?

I thought it was John Belushi who didn't like Chevy Chase, he resented him because he was doing so well with his movies and John thought he wasn't very funny. I hadn't realised Bill Murray also had a problem with him.

I do not know if Bill Murray joined SNL after Chevy Chase. I just know that Ramis and Chase said they argued about something or other. I've got an SNL book and I'm searching, but can't find anything about it.

I think I read somewhere or maybe I heard it that John said that Chevy said something bad about Bill and Bill and Chevy got into a fight. John was the instigator though.

I thought John and Chevy worked on Lemmings together. If you have the Best of John Belushi DVD, it showed a clip of Chevy and John on Lemmings (I think it was Lemmings) while Judy talked about John's early career. I think...

Bill Murray and Chevy Chase got into a fistfight the night Chevy came back to host in the... second second, I think.
Read the book "Live From New York" by Tom Shales and James Miller. Bill and Chevy talk about the whole thing in there. JakeandElwood1, you're right that they both believe John was the instigator.
There are a lot of things that are said that I can't repeat on the boards, so take my advice! Read the book! It's really quite insightful.
