I worked in a record store back in the 80's. I swear that Chevy Chase released an album. I think he was wearing a pair of sunglasses on the cover. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Chevy Chase album?

Hey, that's it! I thought it was a comedy/musical LP, but by the looks of the titles, it could be serious music. Does anyone know?

I came across this thread when I was looking for artwork for the Chevy Chase album to add to iTunes.
The link to the record didn't work so I had to photograph it.
I've recorded about 700 albums from my record collection so I can save some space.
(I have to downsize because I have large bills related to surgery)
I was planning on listing The Chevy Chase album on ebay in about a week or so. (It takes me a little time to organize things.)
I figured to give you guys a heads up in case someone might be interested.

It's a real album. I had never heard about it until I did some searchin'. Here it is ...

I have no idea if the "bank note" was something that came with it.

You can actually listen to some brief samples of each song here ...

If you're a serious collector you might be lucky enough to scoop up this album for $10 bucks ...

It mentions a promo stamp on the back which might be that bank note ... not sure.
Chevy hosted The Midnight Special on November 26, 1980, and performed Short People, I Shot The Sheriff, and Sixteen Tons. You can take a boo at this link to see who else was on the show that night ...

Cornelius Crane Chase had a music background and played in a band long before SNL. There's some dispute as to whether he played the drums or keyboard in the band, because he could play both, but I read that he played the keyboard in the band. They were called Chamaeleon Church and released an album in 1968. Very little information about this band other than they were West Coast based. Here's the cover ...

Freaky, man!
Take a look at the back and see a 24 or 25 year old Chevy ...

I wonder who influenced their lids? lol.
