The big ones might but the nano is so small that I assume they probably couldn't fit a big battery in it. It's cool but if you need a lot of battery time I wouldn't recommend a nano.

I got it a year ago, hated the iPod I had before it.
It has:
Video support (keep in mind this is 6 months before iPod Video was released)
Built-in FM Radio (you can also record from radio to mp3)
Line-in connection (to record from almost any other audio source)
Photo viewing/storage
USB host connection (plug someone else's mp3 player in and copy the tracks off, or plug in a digital camera and transfer your photos to your iRiver if your camera runs out of space)
Tie-clip microphone included (for voice recording)
Remote-control (not wireless).
Leather carry case (with replacement plastic window and screen cleaner)
Integrated notetaking microphone on the side
And it doesn't need any special software to work either, unlike my iPod which tried to take over my system and needed iTunes.
I worked out if I had bought all the accessories this iRiver came with in the box for an iPod, it would have cost me around $400 more. For example, I use the remote to change tracks and keep the unit in my backpack. The headphones plug into the remote. With the iPod everytime I wanted to change to the next track I had to unzip my backpack and fiddle with the clickwheel, which isn't easy when you're standing up on a crowded moving bus. A remote for the iPod costs $75 here.
The unit (with headphones and remote)

The accessories included:

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the 3.5mm line-in cable, and the backup battery charger (which runs on AA batteries). My iRiver ran out of power on the plane (I was watching a movie), so I plugged in the battery pack and got another 5 hours out of it :D
Check it out, USB input (this was FANTASTIC on my USA holiday, I only had a 1GB memory card for my camera, but when it filled up I moved the photos to my iRiver and took more photos

I know I sound like a salesman talking about this thing (actually I was, I used to sell them), but I love it. It's harder to use than the iPod if you're an absolute beginner, but if you're an audio geek like me who loves gadgets (and has no problems doing a firmware upgrade whenever a new feature is added), then you'd love this
Currently I have my entire music collection on this (about 8GB of mp3s), plus 3GB of videos (Red Dwarf, The Blues Brothers, Stargate), and I think I still have all my holiday photos (over 3,500) on there. I haven't run out of space yet
