In 'Wired', it says that Joe Walsh sang with Jake on 'Gimme Some Lovin', and on the Summer 1980 bootleg I have, Jake says before the song 'This next song is deticated to the man who sang on this record with me. A good friend of the Blues Brothers Mr. Joe Walsh.' How cool!

Joe Walsh was also in the movie. At the end, while in prison, he is the rpisoner that is banging on the table.

Joe Walsh also appeared on Blues Brothers and Friends Live from Chicago's House of Blues

Here is an excerpt from Dan Aykroyd's introduction speech:

And on keyboards, from Thunder Bay, Ontario, star of the David Letterman show, our resident musicologist, doctor Paul 'The Shiv' Shaffer. And ladies and gentlemen, for your surprise pleasure we welcome from Wichita, Kansas, in an exclusive engagement with our band, the only man they call Joe 'Slidemaster' Walsh.
People, this is the all star international showband of 'Joliet' Jake and Elwood Blues, the Blues Brothers Band.

I checked, Joe Walsh is from Wichita Kansas.
