In the car as they're racing, the passenger says "Hit it!". BB refrence, perhaps? Or is my mind just set in "BB Overdrive".

You mean like Marty's disguise in BTTFII? XD I think that was some mixture between movies tho...
Tho Blues brothers refs are kinda out there, I saw some guys look like them (tho only one had a hat) ina country music video
Then there's the Tonzura Brothers from MOTHER 2, also smash bros. ... and melee...
and the car crash thing in Jet Set Radio, definate spoof to the pileup in chicago, tho it was under a bridge rather than a train... thing.
