BTW, the BB movie was ranked #69. I guess it's not higher up the list because of how the whole thing is not entirely laughs and it has more of an action/musical genre. I was glad to see it on the list!

Recently, they've been showing a special on Bravo about some the 100 funniest movies of all time and Animal House was #1! John Landis was even interviewed! The whole thing was like the "I Love the 70s/80s/90s" series in which they had celebrities comment on the movies. For Animal House, they were saying how the movie is most memorable because of John Belushi. They called him a "lovable assh*le"

They spent a good amount a time talking about it, considering how other movies were only briefly described by the narrator.

That's fantastic!
Did they talk about anything that we didn't know before, eg interesting facts or trivia, or was it all things we would have seen from the DVD etc?

Well, they talked about how it was originally going to take place in high school but then changed to college because of the R rated content. I've heard this tidbit before- it's probably mentioned on the DVD somewhere.
BTW, I was just watching this special on TV Land about the "Top Ten Dynamic Duos in Television" and the Blues Brothers(SNL years) was at #9! Never would've expected them on the list! They showed clips of them singing Soul Man on SNL, which was quite a treat! :D
Oh, and they interviewed John's wife Judy! She looks great!

I saw that countdown! I definitely think that BB should have ranked higher, but I am so glad that Animal House was number one! Put simply, I screamed.
Oh, GB was on the countdown as well, I think at... 82? Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Love to all!!

I recently heard about this. I can't disagree with it. I can't think of a movie that was funnier. A lot of people are BORED by The Blues Brothers. My friends and I were watching it, and two of them were falling asleep. Okay, these aren't little kids that take naps. One was 13 and the other was 15. And they were sleeping like babies by the time Cab was singing Minnie the Moocher. And I was crying, as usual. I just love that white tux.
@ JamieAiken919: Yes, Ghostbusters was in the 80's and I was terribly disappointed. I absolutely love that movie. The script was too smart for a lot of people, though. It takes a scientist to get some of it. Like when Egon was insulting the emotion-absorbing slime (Ghostbusters II). It's funnier if you know what his "harsh words" actually mean.
