What if Chris Farely was a comeback BluesBrother on SNL in the '90's with Jim Belushi or someone?

IMO the only Blues Brothers should be Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. Nobody else.

Still, it would have been nice if they'd included Farley in the revival one way or another, maybe as a band "conductor" or the group's public road manager, something that wouldn't detract from the singers yet give him some exposure.

Just something like that. I don't think he'd do good with the band.

joking, of course.

if and i say if , i do like chris farley in a way but a little of him go's a long way .

any way if they were to use him in a film if one is ever made he could fill the roll of burton mercer the probation officer , and thats not saying if john candy was alive , the two of them would work together well .like maybe burton jr. but as a blues brother ?

AW!!! Come on he is the child Belushi and Aykroyd never had! I think it would be have been cool. You know he would have done it to because he loved Belushi.

Oh and Chris Farley is an amazing comedian. I love all of his movies he is amazing on SNL too. I love the Nino skit Matt Foley is hysterical Chip and Dales Gap girls and I could go on. He is just awesome. It is a shame he went the way he did.

Farley is animated, which is like Belushi in some of his stuff (ex. samurai). Only thing is Farley is too animated to be a Blues Brother.

I don't like chris farley. I do not think he is funny. He should not be a BB. I just don't like his kind of comedy. I like observational, sarcastic, intelligent type comedy...like the kind the original BB had.;)

Oh, come on. OK, he's not really suited for a Blues Brother(those BB suits wouldn't fit him...sorry, bad pun), but he's hilarious in his own way. Haven't you seen his SNL best of? It was awsome. He might have a bit of trouble conveying an intellectual, but, hey, so do I. IMHO He was, and still is one of the SNL greats. Awsome guy. Wish I knew him. It's a shame he was just a bit too much like Beluchi... he might still be here, making everybody laugh.

I've seen his skits, I agree with odupianist he is a little too animated, He over does things to where there not funny at least I don't think so. Well the van down by the river was funny but thats it for me.:D It's all about Danny for me!!!

Hello. I'm new. :(

I personally think it would have been very nice to make Chris Farley an honorary Blues Brother. He idolized John, and it would have pro'ly been a really great experience for him. Not as a permanent "replacement" per se, as I agree that he has a little too much...excitement to be cool enough to pass as a Blues Brother. But it sure would have been nice to him, and he would have gotten a kick out of it, even if he only got to be one once. That's my half-baked opinion.

10 years, eh ... unreal. I remember being in my car, it was snowing, and I heard it on the radio. I just said, "Oh no."

There were moments I believe, that you could see a great actor in Chris Farley. He apparently was in talks to play Fatty Arbuckle which may have been an incredible role for him. There was just SO much more ... I'm a big fan.

I can remember watching SNL the night Christina Applegate hosted. The night we first met, ... Matt Foley! LOL! :D About 6 or 7 years ago a local late night radio show had a "phone in your impression" thing goin' on, so I phoned in and did Matt Foley. It was late and after I had finished saying, "... down by the river" ... the host asked me if anyone else was awake in my house ...LOL!

There was a lot more to Chris Farley ...

I would second that. I also wish that Dan would perform with the BBB not the Sacred Hearts (but that is a whole other argument).
One scary soul band as mean and righteous as a fist.

I agree. They coined the Blues Brothers and I think it should stay that way.
