Everyone knows what make/model/year the Bluesmobile was... Does anyone what Curtis' car was? Pretty sweet ride for an orphanage janitor!

Thanks, Scott! Yeah I found that "cars" link right after I posted the question... rookie mistake, huh?
But Thanks again for the quick reply...

Welcome to the forums, CalumetRick!

Interesting avatar you have there- What is it? Is that you in there?

And I think you may be the eldest member at BBcentral! Or is that really your age? I don't know a 72 year old that uses the phrase "sweet ride".

Some more info about Curtis' car - that beautiful black 1967 Cadillac Flower Car

Cadillac did not actually manufacture the Flower Car (also known as the "Coupe De Fleur") on their production line.

They were designed & built by specialist coachbuilders who took that years chassis model ('67,'68 etc) and then converted them to either Hearses, Flower Cars or Ambulances etc etc.

Curtis' car was a Black 1967 S&S Flower Car converted by specialists Hess & Eisenhardt.

I've done some interweb searching and have found some more pictures of other Cadillac Flower Car models for anyone interested.

This is a picture of a similiar 1967 Hess & Eisenhardt Flower Car

Heres some earlier models from 1966

*Notice the window pillar has additional glass & has a different design shape

Another 1967 Flower Car - This one was manufactured by Embassy

*No extra glass but this has a bigger back window pillar design

Heres a beautiful 1968 model manufactured by McClain

And lastly a stunning Silver Flower Car, again from 1968

I hope this was useful!

Thanks for the Welcome, Jacob! Yes, that is me in the avatar. Something I cut and pasted from a couple of different pics. No, I'm not really 73years old. (although some days I feel like it  ) 1933 is a tie in I used 'cause a lot of the music I play is depression era acoustic blues, Delta blues and such, from 1933 and earlier...
Now that I think of it, I'm gonna take that birth date outta there. And edit my hometown too. Highland, IN is literally a 5 minute ride away from Calumet City , IL.
And everyone here knows where Cal City is , right?!

Still love to listen to the BB lay down their style of R&B, big fat sound, I never tire of it. And great to dance to!!!

And Rob... Whoa! You really know your stuff about the Caddy flower cars. THANKS for the pics!

I'm putting together a few dollars over the last couple years. Actually thinking of buying an old Caddy... something to cruise in... drive to play gigs and so on. Another "guitar hero" of mine, Catfish Keith, has a '63 Caddy, I think it is. Very cool...So I kinda got this bee in my bonnet... I'll post a pic or two if get the car I want.

Thanks to all for your questions and comments, Rick

Wow, sweet-ass car, kinda like an El Camino-Caddy. Hope you find something, Rick. I've been yearning for an old car for a coupla months now, so I know how it is.

Cool avatar, btw. Looks like you're surrounded by a bunch of Josephine Bakers.
