Hi all, i am watching the family guy on fox and I hear the Blues brother's music and Peter drives through the mall, extremely similar to the blues brothers and the music was playing in the background as the scene went on. It rocked!! This was in the new epi of the family guy on fox.

I was watching the new season of family guy last night and wen peter was being chased by mel gibson`s priest guards he drove through a mall and i cant turn u loose was playing! it was awesome and i was in tears laughing. plus there was one scene when they showed peter driving from the side which reminded me of right before they drove out of the department store. at the end the people chasing them hit a piano and flipped of their roof sliding around.

I watched it!!! I love that show! This just made it ten times better that they did the Blues Brothers!!!!

This might sound crazy but here it goes. All day yesterday I felt like they were going to do something with the Blues Brothers on Family Guy. It was so weird when I actually saw them in the mall with the music. I was so happy!

I love Family Guy it is really funny.

I also watched Family Guy and was astonished they did something from the Blues Brothers! I was very happy! Overall it was a very funny episode. I liked the whole Stewie and Brian being in charge. It was great when they went over to that kids house and Brian said about the kids head being upside down. Good Episode!!!!

Saw that too. Never been much of a "Family Guy" fan, but that premiere episode wasn't too bad. Brownie points for the Blues Brothers reference, haha. I've read some interviews with the show's creator, Seth MacFarlene, who has referenced films like "The Blues Brothers," "Stripes," etc. as comedic influences, so I suppose it was only a matter of time before he got around to using a BB gag.

Slightly OT but in the Cartoon series 'Megas XLR' when the main characters are driving thru the alien space ship there is a shot of an alien speaking into a headset saying "use of unnecessary violence has been approved"
and later on, one of the characters says "this place has got everything"

Wow, first Blues Brothers, then Indidana Jones with Star Wars, now, Animal House! Last night on the new episode of Family Guy Chris was dancing in his bedroom and some old guy came up behind the window. He looks behind himself to the camera, then fell down to the ground. It was just like Animal House.

Wow!
Since I saw that Blues Brothers episode, I've become hooked on Family Guy.

I think one of the writers from this latest season MUST be a huge Blues Brothers/Aykroyd/Belushi/SNL fan.

I'm expecting to see the Coneheads and Ghostbusters sometime soon :)

Yeah they had Peter come out as a Conehead and Cleveland and Quagmire come out as the Wild and Crazy Guys.

I agree some one is really into Belushi, Aykroyd and SNL.
