I have like a three way tie. They are the horse scene it is hysterical when Bluto runs in sees the horse and all he can say is HOLY SHIT!!! My other one is The toga party. Gotta love John dancing with Judy to Shout. Then my third one is Bluto in the Cafe. I love the beginning when he is standing by the sink kind of dancing to show off to the girls then eats a golf ball, then he goes to grab all the food. Priceless!!! Those are my three that tie for my favorite scene.

Is that what he said on the unedited version? I've only seen the movie on TV.

I love Otis Day in the movie!

At the beginning of the cafeteria scene, Bluto's extravagant use of the buffet tactics really encompasses his whole character; a bite of this, a bite of that, a mouthful of this, a pocketful of that, and a tray towering of everything in between. That performance just gives me such an overcomming attack of laughter every time because of Belushi's sincerity and honesty with that character. The underlining humanity and comedic genious comes through not through his gorging but by his admittance to something we all feel like doing. Besides, the John 'Bluto' Blutarsky character really captures what the real John was like, a little less of a characature, but similar just the same.
This remains a staple of the film to me.

You must be thinking of the buffet line scene when John takes a plate of green jello and slurps it all up. I love the way he moved his eyebrows before he does that!

I ended up watching the movie last night cause of this thread... he also takes a handful of jello before the mashed potatoes and just squirts it in his mouth.

Hey everyone, one of my favorite scene from Animal house is at the Delta house toga party, when everyone is dancing to "SHOUT!" when john is starting to get lower to the ground his facial reaction is priceless, i think he we looking up at Judith, she was dancing with him in that awesome scene!

Recently, a couple guys in my class snuck in one night and left a piglet in the principals office!

Don't worry, the pig was not harmed. It just left a big mess.

And the next day while Dean Wormer and the mayor are talking, you can see the janitor measuring the carcass and cutting it up with a chainsaw so he could get it through the door!

The whole cafeteria scene is my favorite part of the movie. And I especially like it when Bluto makes the horse sound behind Neidermeyer. I love it when Doug nearly chokes on his lunch. :D
