Hello everyone, I have been gone for a while. Hope all of you are doing well.
Anyways...

I was reading the news on yahoo and read that Wilson Pickett died, Wilson Pickett Dies of Heart Attack at 64

sad to hear that he passed away. His music will always be rememberd.

Wilson Pickett, one of the greatest star of soul and R&B (played Mr. Pickett's part on BB2000) died yesterday at 64.

Also mentioned in the original Blues Brothers movie. After "Everybody Needs Somebody" and before "Sweet Home Chicago" (first and second songs performed at the Palace Hotel Ballroom) Jake dedicated the song to Magic Sam and Wilson Pickett.

The weekend before he died, I watched my copy of the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary performance, where he does "Land of 1000 Dances" with the Elwood Blues Revue (the version from the Great Outdoors Soundtrack), and I watched it again the weekend after he died. A little rememberence of him...... RIP Wicked Mr. Pickett

I played some of his songs with the bass the same day he died (Land of 1000 dances, Mustang Sally, Funky Broadway,Don´t Knock my love and his great version of Everybody needs somebody)
