We have just added 2 new bootleg albums to the site. Many of you would have already seen the first one, 'Blues For You', but we have also just added 'Live in Las Vegas'. This is the concert that was webcast on the HOB website in 1999.

http://www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/bootlegs.php

The Live in Las Vegas bootleg is at 192kbps quality, whereas Blues For You is at 128kbps.

Enjoy

I just noticed that the 'Soul Man' featured from the 1978 New Years Eve bootleg album, is the very recording from The Best of the Blues Brothers DVD.. It has the same pace, sounds exactly the same, and Jake says 'Well grab the rope, and Ill pull ya in, give ya Dope...etc'.

Those other bootlegs are really cool, but I dont care much for Elwood, Zee and Mack. Zee doesnt know the words during Soul Man.

He also says 'Los Angeles' twice, probably why one of the band members says 'Las Vegas' over and over again. The speech about Jake Blues is cool, and the first song that plays during the intro is cool. Koko Taylor's two songs are one of my favorite parts of this concert!

Anyway, even if people don't like this bootleg much, at least they know now, and they didn't have to pay $50 in an eBay bidding war for it :)

Oh yes, I'm very appreciative of you doing this. Im not putting you down, just saying. I think it's really cool, and I love Zee and Elwood playing, but I didn't care for this particular 'album' of theirs.

Thank you....I downloaded them the other day and both are a great addition to my collection. It is always a pleasure to find someone who helps keep the mission alive without gouging other people's pocket books. Thanks again :)

I've spent around $300 on bootlegs over the last few years. It takes less than an hour to copy a CD, 5 minutes to design and print a label for it, and 2 minutes to put it together. Total cost, maybe $1. Put it on eBay as a 'rare' item, and sell it for $50 to a fan.

I just hope nobody does this using the mp3s I've posted. That would be upsetting. I search eBay every day and email people bidding on the bootlegs and show them where they can download them for free.

I've lost a lot of bootleg sellers a lot of bidders :)

Hey Chris, I'm right there with ya on that bidding war stuff. I've spent a lot of money on bootlegs also. I always seem to get lucky though and trade straight up with people, since I pay for certain rare things and trade for things that are just as rare. I also have a friend that puts the BB concerts onto audio CD as well, so I've just started building up my collection of "videos onto audio CD". I was stiffed at the same time I got the "Live in Las Vegas" for the "Live in Chicago" 2 CD performance for $55 on eBay!!! I still can't find that show... anyone know where you can get it?

In the future will you be adding more bootleg downloads? To be honest I never knew of these bootlegs until I found this site. I figured there must have been some out there cause simply there is money to be made by bootleggers. Don't get me wrong I have indeed been plagued with over priced bootleg cds of live concerts of other bands. Reaching a point of betrayal I discontinued buying bootlegs cause not all recordings are of the best quality and are not worth such a great sized price tag. I greatly appreciate what you are doing and I am glad to hear that you take the time to try to show others your site for the bootlegs. We the Blues Brothers fans have handed out enough money to them. Chris thanks for everything you do.
