What's that finger snapping thing for?

In the first movies, and I believe it's the scene where their both in tge elevaotr, Jake tried to do a finger snap, then hit his first, he acts like he cant do it, then Elwood does it, What was that all for? I didn't quite get that part at all.

thanks for asikng that question. when i first got the dvd i had no clue about that, either. and ever since this forum opened i forgot about it.
i know the three stooges, but they're a very rare act in german tv. :-)

@dixiesquare: i think you confused my with "ElJayBlues" because we have the same avatar. HE is from the us.
yep, i'm a native german. as i said, i know the stooges a bit but really just little things they used to do like the "finger-in-the-eyes-and-block-it-with-the-hand" thing.
