I've just heard the sad news about George.
One of the greatest footballers ever to play the beautiful game.

Whilst the vultures try to pick his reputation clean (the liver transplant - one just knows the vultures are going to pick his reputation clean), for many people he is considered a personal hero. Indeed, what he wrote in his Daily Mail Weekend magazine column over the past few years (whilst he had it) I found to be quite interesting and genuine - unlike the other columnists at the time. Whilst he was with us, he had a great time - enjoyed an outstanding career as a footballer and then, some years later, appearing on our television screens as a commentator who knows what he's talking about. And probably alot more that I don't know.

Well, all I can wish him here is to rest in peace and my thoughts to his immediate family.

For more information, not to mention tastefully done (as opposed to other tabloids) pick up your copy of Manchester Evening News or read the article at the aforementioned website.

Regards,

Yickle.
