Actually, it's funny you should ask, because a little while ago I transcribed the lyrics of one version. (It's different every time he sings it.) If you'd like, i could send them to you, it might be the best you're gonna get.

Here's my technique (it's not very good):-

Start off with some three or four letter word which may or may not exist (e.g. Nah, Hool), then do the Twiki maneuver (e.g. bah-bababa, dah-ha-hom-lalalala, bebebebe). That's the first line.

It would end up being something like this: Nah-da-hom lalala!

In the second line the first three/four letter "word" is emphasised as follows: HOOL-l-l-l-l ahBAH-dadada!

And all this whilst going extremely fast - it also pays off in the end, as one's audience will note you're actually using a pattern of gibberish (sp?) rather than randomly placed gibberish.

Finally, during the no-background-music section near the end of the song, every single first three/four letter word should be emphasised.

Again: this is the technique I have come up with after listening to the song perhaps far too much - let alone trying to sing it! :D

Regards,

Yickle.

The original song is also considerably slower than the way the Blues Brothers perform it. Mr. Aykroyd has a certain talent for doing that, it's insane. I just jump up and down and spew a bunch of jargon. It's "passable," haha.

Well I didn’t learn it by lessening to it. I hear it and got the beat, once u get the beat of the song down and u have a rhythmic pace weir u can start coming up with a pace weir u can sing. Then u have to try and just make up stuff, I know it is difficult at first but after a wile it well come to you. You have to find the beat of the song, if u noticed when Dan Akroyd does it he bounces up and down to the rhythm and that gives him the right beat to sing. I just wave from side to side but lessen to the song wont get you anywhere. Try and clap to the beat or stomp your feet then try and beat you might want to start out with simple things, like if u can try and slow down the song then lessen to it and that could help. I well be putting on my video clip of me singing rubber biscuit and its half decent so maybe u could learn form that.

The first thing you have to learn about Rubber Biscuit is that it takes an incredible amount of focus. If you want to sing it u has to clear your mind, and just let the music take you. You should try and learn the first three lines of the actual not the 1, 2, 123 or the Bow Bow Bow part. Try and sing this  "hear bad ia bidd ia be bow" “Cool ba da higia wata giguiaâ€? “dar rattia nam nam nam anow." And if you do learn something from this it would be metrical.
