What songs would you like to hear by the BB???
I really like to hear them doing a song called "Mary Mary" by the Monkys(Paul Butterfield Blues Band. I can imagin Elwood doing it.
And than a cover of the Sam & Dave Hit "You Don't Know Like I Now" would be great. They did it in the movie "Wired" but that wasn't the real Jake.

So tell me what would you like to hear?? Maybe Dan Aykroyd is reading this.

Yep,but the real Jake played that song a loooooooong time ago........

I think "I thank you" from Sam&Dave or "Don?t knock my love" from Wilson Pickett would be nice enough...I played the female chorus in Don?t knock my love with elwood?s voice and i think if they did the song with background "blues sisters" and elwood in background would be a great version.

Larry Thurston sang "You Don't Know Like I Know" in Germany with the BB Band in 1990 on "Ohne Filter Extra", and Sam Moore sang it on "Otis, Onions and the Blues", just FYI.... It's not Jake and Elwood, I know....

I wanna see "Get Ready" by The Temptations. I think it's an awesome song they would cover nicely.

i would want a version of "money (that's what i want)" by jake and elwood.
i know john sang it on the soundtrack for animal house and it's on "live from chicago's house of blues" but i think it would be even cooler with the original bbs, elwood could join the singing for the chorus like in "soul man".

I read a long time ago that Aykroyd & Belushi played that song...(John) Belushi...maybe in SNL, when they were doing songs for the people in the program.

And I really like the Money version in The Return of The Blues Brothers: fast, and the horns doing the main riff...

"Treat her right" would be cool. Zee and Mack did it in 1999 at LA's HOB.
And "I gotcha" by Joe Tex would be great too.
And I really like to hear them doing "The Letter" again like they did on SNL in 2001.

I'd like to hear them do their own versions of some of the old Ray Charles ones; Hit the Road, Jack or Mess Around maybe. And I'd love to hear Jake belt out some of the old Soul classics: When a Man Loves a Woman, Love Man or Mr Pitiful.

Yeas. I once saw this bb-concert with realplayer on the House of Blues-Homepage.
I cut some songs from this concert. The quality is ok.
the concert featured buddy gye and koko taylor.
they did many bb-classics and "Treat her right", "Rocket 88", Mustang Sally" & "36-22-36".
They did it with the Sacred Hearts.

I got the complet concert on a cassett and some soundclips on a cd.

I think "Land of a Thousand Dances" would be a good cover, if they haven't done it already. Do you think they'd do well with some Bruce Springsteen songs, because I can always imagine them doing a great rendition of Thunder Road.

I would love to hear them take a stab at 'Proud Mary'... I have always thought the Blues Brothers could pull that song off, and in great fashion!
