Anyone catch the extras on the best of John Belushi Snl Dvd?
I rented it recently thinking it was the same as the old vhs Best of Belushi.
Its not. The feature is differnt. Some new skits that were not included in the old vhs version, totaly differnt order of the skits and the extras were great!!! I love the "television interview" with John and Dan. Its just after they finished Neighbors and were releasing the Best of the Blues Brothers album. I never knew they forgot to put Tom Bones Malones name on the credits of the album. I was suprised to see the real John when hes not acting on film. he seemed very troubled, looked worried about something. Theres a very sad part when the Movie critic asks John what do you want to be doing in ten years , he said " Fiddler on the roof" as a joke. and Dan adds in " Ill be working with this guy in ten years. If either of us is still Alive" nuff said. If this is old news to everyone im sorry for being a jerk all late about it . but i was moved by this.
anyone else??

Yes this was very good. I also noticed John looked worried. That last meal thing got to me because then I thought I wonder what his last meal was. Oh and the whole ten year thing was really sad. I really wish he was still here.

So you said they just added extra stuff not taken anything out? It was the same as before just with more skits and in a different order. That's good because I always wondered if they were different. If they were I would have to get the original.

The only metion of the DVDs was in the SNL forum where we talked about getting them. I own everybody's John Dan and Gilda's. They are all really good.

Glad you enjoyed it!!!

Yeah they are all so good. Another thing that wasn't in the extra's on John's was the Don't look Back in Anger short film. It was so ironic. Really sad too.

I hope you get them soon!! I know you will enjoy them!!!

if i remember correctly, they did take out some skits i know for sure "the thing that wouldnt leave" is not on the dvd. But I love it. I dont want to take it back. Anyway blockbuster has no more late fees I am gonna watch at least 3 more times before i take it back and get the best of Dan.

I tryed taping it on to vcr from dvd. I could not get a clear picture i think there is some type of block on the dvd that bars you from recording copys.Anyone know a solution?

So that means I need to track down the VHS copy? Grr. Why did they have to cut stuff? Oh well that means I get to get something else of Belushi's.

Sorry I can't help with the DVD problem. I hope you get everything straightened out.

There was another Beethoven skit missing from the VHS tape, and another Blues Brothers number, and a few other things I own both but I can't think of all the diffrences off hand.

I went back after I read this and posted yesterday and looked at the interview agian and it did seem as though something was wrong with him. I don't know whether it was because he was moving around in his seat the whole time or what but he never sat still. It was odd.
