Here's the segment on ABC's Nightline that was broadcast the night of John's death. It's interesting to see and hear them talk about how, at that point, they thought John died of natural causes.

I never saw this peice, but I do remember when he died. I was 11 and a big Blues Brothers fan even then. That was one of the things I think that kept me from doing drugs. I saw what it did to John and I stayed away from them. I wasn't aware of it at the time but I think underneath that is what kept me away from them.

That and other musicans and people I admired that died and had bad drug habits and nothing good came from it.
