Default USA: 1974 Monaco Sedan (Nebraska)

It's rusty, but it's a Bluesmobile in waiting.

Car runs excellent! Never had a problem with it. It is a little loud due to a hole in the exhaust. Headlight is out, but that's an easy fix. Interior is in tip-top condition. Only aesthetic flaw is that it has rust. I'm asking $700 o.b.o.

What part doesn't have rust ? Interior tip-top condition ? At least the price is somewhat realistic , but should be $350 .

I called on it. Sounded like a young man. He said it had quite a bit of rust on it and he thought it was beyond repair but he couldn't tell me what shape the frame was in.

I called the guy. It is rusted thru. may be good for parts. Or at least the nose. Gonna need a good bodyman on this one.

I was gonna ask, obviously there isnt one place where theres no rust, but how bad are the fenders? Are they savable? Pics are so damn small, cant see much.

I called him today. I assume after getting a ton of calls on the car he took a better look at the frame. From what he said, I would have to agree with everyone here that it might be a "decent" parts car. Frame sounds like it is in poor shape. As far as the fenders, he said that down low there is a lot of rust. Kind of a toss up for 7 bills + drive time.

This car is sold now. My buddy sent him the money today. I hope he has plenty of free time to work on this beast.

Get some sheet metal... and/ or possibly a second donor car, and you guys will be in business.

You might even be able to fabricate something from the various
floor pans, trunk floors, and side-well pans available on eBay.

There is very little available specifically for the Monaco... but, there is some Chrysler/ Dodge pieces, and if they're going to be cut up anyway.. maybe there are others that will do the trick as well.

Oh I will keep everyone informed on the status of the build. I will be cracking knuckles until the wee hours until it is done. I hate buying "sight unseen" cars but c'mon... it's a '74 sedan. Where there is a will... there is a way.
